Jams, in spite of the absence of rehearsal, should still honor the correct chords and arrangements. What’s left up for grabs is the improving and soloing. The idea is that new improvisors can learn from experienced players and experienced players can, in turn, learn from improvisors.
The Open Jam is open to guitar players, keyboardists, horn players, singers, harmonic players, and percussionists. You don’t have to be able to read music to join. Don’t worry, those who can read music will play the heads. Singers, please bring charts or let us know in advance the songs and keys you prefer.
